I’ve just found this lovely artwork via Whipup – some potato printing inspiration for a summer Sunday project.
You can see the full project instructions over on Oh Happy Day – a blog I’m definitely going to spend some time exploring today.
Have you tried printing with potatoes yet?

Oh my, I can’t believe I’m doing this. A whole new year of 52 crafts in 52 weeks! But I have lots of you coming along for the ride which means a lot – hopefully all your names are over there on the right of the page. If yours is missing just leave me a comment and I’ll fix it. Just as soon as I get over the palpitations caused by sharing a video with my actual voice in it. I sound about 12, seriously.
Craft tutorial: potato printing from Christine Evans on Vimeo.
This is my first ever craft video. In fact it’s my first ever video full-stop so be gentle. I hope you enjoy it as despite the anxiety at my child-like voice I did enjoy making it. There may be more. One day.
Week 1 - finshed potato-printed wrapping paper
So, have you tried potato printing this week? Or any other printing methods? Remember, printing is the theme for the whole month and you can choose any method at all – and take part every week or just once in the month. Share your projects in the comments here, on Twitter (using the hashtag #52crafts52weeks), on Facebook or Flickr.
I can’t wait to see all your projects. Happy crafting x
Flasback: Week 1 in year 1 was all about Quilling.
