Dusting off the cobwebs for Halloween

Oh my it’s a little dusty in here; there are enough cobwebs to make any Halloween party go off in style. So sorry I haven’t written here in a while. Rest assured I have been crafting (apart from a month-long break back in England) and here is my latest, and very cute, project.

For Emily’s first Halloween I knew I wanted her to be an owl. I couldn’t resist this cute critter hoodie from Old Navy but to make it more my (her) own I added some felt wings. All I did was cut two wing shapes from one shade of brown and then added feathers from a darker shade. A little bit of stitching later and it was all finished and ready to show off at the pumpkin patch. You could easily customise your own plain hoodie to give it ears, eyes and a beak.

I may make an outfit for me to complement my little owlet but we’ll see how the time goes – there is very little of it with a busy 6-month old around!
