{week 39} drawing

“What did you do as a child that made the hours pass like minutes? Here is the key to your earthly pursuits.” — Carl Jung

I find this quote so inspiring.  Making things would make the hours fly by for me as a child. I was always playing with bits of paper and making cards, decorations and even a nativity once (entirely out of empty toilet rolls).

So I love this paper doll tutorial by Carla Sonheim (which is also where I saw the quote). As soon as I clapped eyes on it I knew it had to be one of my crafts.

I don’t really think I can draw but with Carla’s guiding hand I gave it a go…

Carla Sonheim inspired paper dolls

That’s me on the left and Toby the dog on the right – not a very exact likeness! They were fun to make though – I’m quite tempted by Carla’s book. Has anyone got a copy?
